“Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name,” John 15:21-22
Christ was speaking to His disciples saying, as the world treated Me, they would treat you the same way. The Jews and the Romans crucified Christ and they also persecuted and killed His disciples and also the believers who confessed on the Name of God. Christ is the master in the above saying and any believer, you and me, is the servant.
