emotionally moved by music vs moved by the Spirit?
Real worship happens when your spirit responds to God, not to some musical tone.

The exception ofcourse being Liturgical hymns, or any hymns of the Church, which being of a heavenly nature, may raise our spirits up to heaven.
This has nothing to do with the musical notation or melody of the hymns, but rather it is to do with their purpose, as a means by which God is praised, glorified, and worshipped.
some of the spiritual songs we listen to might have been by protestants orginally...
How about in Heaven? HH. Pope Shenouda once commented on music by saying,( my humble translation), “ If you do not appreciate music while you are on earth, you would loved it in Heaven. For in front of the Throne of God it is a kind of an orchestra with melody and harp praising and worshipping the Lord forever and ever. “
” The voice I heard was like the sound of harpers playing on their harps,
and they sing a new song before the throne." Rev. 14 : 2-3
Again it depends on the lyrics and the kind of music.
