your language

Your language
+In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit One God Amen+

Mathew 12:33-37
Your language reveals who you are. Look at verse 37, young people, how you speak tells you who you are.
There are 10 types of languages:
1.   Wisdom
2.   Humility
3.   Forgiveness
4.   Deceit and dishonesty
5.   Thanks and appreciation
6.   Love
7.   Edification (to build up and encourage, opposite of it is to knock down)
8.   Arrogance/pride
9.   Praise
10.

Language tells more than your appearance and grooming. Even people that are not well educated can tell what kind of person you are by your language. For example, the slave girl said to peter that he was a Galilean by the way he spoke.
Your language reveals clearly what is in your heart. Jesus says it doesn’t matter what goes in the mouth (such as we are fasting) but it matters what goes out and once you have already said something there is no turning back, even a bunch of words can hurt more than a physical fight, so you make sure you say sorry and not just the word but you have to mean it.

1.   Wisdom
The bestest friend you can have is a wise friend. Solomon was the wisest in the OT, he wrote proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon.
An example of another wise person is Abigail, when things were going wrong and there were lots of wars she went and offered food and drinks and settled everything down, from dark to light and from anxiety to peace. And that’s when her husband (before they were married) said blessed are you for you are wise and then they got married after that.
Language of wisdom is the best language as it is from the Lord. In Him is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

2.   Humility
Speak always in a courteous manner to everyone. It shows. Don’t be two-faced because you don’t know who will see you besides God. For example you are known to be a beautiful person at church and one day you are in the shops and you wear at the shopkeeper in Arabic and someone is there from church or wherever but be sure that wherever you are there will be always someone there unexpectedly.
Examples from the Bible-Jacob lived with Laban and married Rachel and Leah had 10 sons with Leah and 2 with Rachel and hen he packed up all his things and went to stay with Abraham and Isaac. On his way he saw Esau hi brother in a distance and he got really scared because it has been 20 years since he saw him. He walked on and a second time he met him and he decided to use the language of humility and got gifts and told his servant to go give it to Esau my master and say its from Jacob the servant. The third time they met again and Esau fell and wept and said to him as soon as I saw your face, I saw the face of God also, so at that time Esau’s heart was moved even though it started to be Jacobs fault.
Another person that uses the language of humility is done by John the Baptist.

3.   Forgiveness
Forgiveness is to say sorry and forgive me then the person accepts it. We couldn’t survive in this world if you don use the language of forgiveness.
Jesus used it on the cross, He said, “father, forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing.”, also saint Stephen used it when he was getting stoned to death, he said the same words as Christ did on the cross and he saw the heavens opening up, also we say everyday when we pray the Lords prayer “…. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us…”
Always with dealing with others use the language of forgiveness also mean it, look at the tone of voice you are saying it in and the manner and figure out whether it builds or destroys.

4.   Deceit and dishonesty
This is a very common language- lying- very bad and be sure that you will always get caught for example, Hanania and Zaphira they sold a land to the church but only gave back $800 from the $1000 and they said how would peter know that it was sol for $1000. And Saint Peter found out and said that you are not lying against me rather the Holy Spirit. Always be careful as it causes lots of problems like Jacob lied to Isaac his father by saying he was Esau to receive the blessing and he got away with it because his dad was blind but later on down the track his uncle gave him Leah to marry instead of Rachel so whenever you do something it will always come back as payback- leads to the famous sayings- what goes around comes around and also what you sow you will reap.
The people that used this language in the Bible are Laban, Rebecca and Jacob.
There was a question asked and it was who gets punished for the sin is it the designer or Is it the one that does it?? The answer is the one that does it. An example to go with this is Jonadab that led Amnon and Tamar.

5.   Thanks and appreciation
All throughout the psalms David talks about giving thanks. Psalm 136 as we sing in the midnight praise is thanking God about everything.
Also in the St Mary prayer “ my soul magnifies the Lord, for He has exalted the lowly state of His maidservant and has done great things for me….”
You should always appreciate what everyone and your parents give you. By speaking the language of forgiveness we are making our relationship better in a sincere way. When the Lord healed the lepers from 10 of them only 1 came back and said thank you. This shows how ungrateful we are. We only usually remember the bad things and not the good.

6.   Love
This is not a romance love as romance is very false actions. We are talking about the genuine love; this isn’t false which is romance and it’s not fake by putting a mask on and being nice on the outside when you have a lot of hatred towards them in the inside.
We are talking about the genuine strong love as shown by the Good Samaritan. We will be judged with the language of love. This language of love is the language of the angels and saints. Words can be precious or they can be cheap. When we buy someone a card for his or her birthday or wedding etc. when you open it up the language is sweet. Our Lord expresses the best language of love in the gospel and epistle of St John, John 3:16 “ for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life.”
Don’t forget GOD IS LOVE!! And also the saying by St Augustine “ he who is filled with love is filled with the Lord Himself”

7.   Edification
We should avoid teasing, being cynical, critical etc. parents always do edification, Lord uses it with the Samaritan lady when He says go get your husband and when she said she had none and He kept flooding her with edification by saying she has said rightly etc. also with zacheius how he saw him up in the tree and asked to eat with Him, the sinful women when He was at Simon the Pharisee’s banquet and she came and cried on His feet then Simon said if you knew who she was you wouldn’t dare let her touch you and then He said to the lady that she is redeemed and forgiven, also the Canaanite women as her daughter was demon possessed.
Edificate—Christ Did!!!

8.   Arrogance/pride
This is also another common in society. This is the language that starts fights and that leads to lying and swearing. Language of arrogance is the language of the Pharisees. Don’t use it when you speak to people. For example, Simon the Pharisee in Luke 7. Always remember what the Lord says, he who is forgiven much, loves much and he who is forgiven little, loves little. As in Luke 7, the sinner women walked in a sinner and out righteous, she was first in chains then set free. The language of pride can be revealed in judgment. Simon in Luke 7 puts Jesus as a prophet and leader not God.

9.   Praise
There are the praises of the seraphim and cherubim, which join in the choir of the saints. May the Lord grant us the language of praise that David uses. As the psalms have different types for example request, thanksgiving and so on.
If you don’t get used to the language of praise now, you will be a foreigner when you enter heaven. PRAISE HIS NAME AND WORKS.

Be careful of how you speak, it shows what is in your heart and reveals who we are. You should change your heart first then the language will follow on as what is inside goes out. If we are your from inside everything comes out pure but if we have rubbish inside our hearts our words too will be rubbish. As the mistake of the Pharisees, they look great from the outside and very bad inside and we know that by the reflection of their deeds and behavior.

+Glory be to God, forever Amen+
