is this dream from God and it's meaning?

i had a dream where my appearance or my face became super ugly and 2 of my teeth just fall out(both of my upper lateral incisor teeth) and they looked rotten in their roots. when i showed my relatives how ugly my face looked and my teeth, they told me that 2 of my teeth were gone but my face was the same and it didn't change at all. but it was such a horrible and ugly face when i looked at it in the mirror. and then after that i also lose a molar tooth(a left lower molar tooth) and i was afraid of all that was happening. and i wake up.

i wanna mention that i am a 19yo guy who hasn't been baptized or fully Orthodox yet but i am going to next month and i used to be a lutheran protestant. also i do not worry about my teeth or anything like that and i don't think this dream is a reflection of my day to day life or the previous day...

  • hi void, Christ is risen and ascended :)
this is how we greet people during this season traditionally as the resurrection feast is the most major feast in orthodox church life.
firstly - it is far better to get advice from people you know personally.
but as you have asked, i will try to make a few points (i have been an orthodox Christian 17 years).
i sometimes dream my teeth are faling out, it usually means i am stressed about something or i have a bad taste in my mouth (maybe went to bed forgetting to brush teeth).
    dreams don't have specific meanings.
in paganism people believe that if you dream X then it means Y.
for example, some cultures associate black cats with bad luck (others with good luck) so if you see one in your dream, then you will have bad or good luck that day.
    Christians don't believe that.
dreams can come either from the evil one, or from God, or (most often) from your imagination.
maybe you are worried about what people think of you or how you appear in public.
this is nothing to worry about, most people worry about what other people think of them more than what God thinks of them!

the remedy is to pray, confess any sins or anxious thoughts to God, read the Bible and thank God for His goodness to you.
if you get bad dreams repeatedly, ask one of the priests to pray for you.

it is great to hear you plan to join the church next month.
it is really wonderful to join the orthodox church and i thank God (literally) every day that I have experienced the depths of His love (it has been a deeper experience than when i was a protestant Christian).
when you follow God, the evil one gets annoyed and wants you to worry.
    please don't worry.
God loves you and will take care of you.
keep doing whatever you have learned so far in the orthodox church and try to learn humility as this is what most people lack the most in my experience
may God keep you safe and bring you to His home, through the prayers of saint mary, saint john the evangelist and all the saints :)
