Two verses

‘Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.’
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I don’t understand this verse because here it says:

‘But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.’
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So isn’t that lusting? Being satisfied with breasts

  • There is no lust between a man and his woman. That is the whole point of the Book of Song of Songs
    Ⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡϭⲥ
  • 2 points: the deeper meaning of the song of songs is about God's relationship with us. for more details, read 'have u seen the 1 i love' by pope shenouda, I highly recomend it.
secondly the verse is a bit different in the septuagint, so if i had seen the orthodox study Bible as a teenager, I would have giggled less while reading it!
however, kind and gentle (i.e. controlled) sexual desire is perfectly correct within marriage.
