Use of icons

Marwan

Hello can someone walk me through the proper ethics of prayer with icons. I don’t want to get anything wrong

put the icons on a wall or table and thank God for His mercy shown in their lives and in your life. then pray as normal (the agpeya prayer book is a good place to start). if you feel comfortable showing affection to departed people, you can then kiss the icons as a way of saying thank you to the dead person for demonstrating a good way to live and trust God.
this is a basic starting point, you will learn more from the priest and church servants (those who lead Bible studies and groups)
