Behaviour During the Liturgy and the Iconostasis

Hey all,

Something I have noticed for the last couple of years since becoming Orthodox is the difference between how other orthodox treat the Holies and how our Church treats it. Something which bothers me in particular is behaviour beind the iconostasis. Whilst I like the fact that laity are allowed behind the iconostasis and I believe its how it should be, I do not like how sommetimes people, in particular children, muck around, make noise, and be disruptiv.  This is made even worse by the fact that the coptic church seems to ordaiñ every single boy from around the age of 6 to serve as cantor.  When behind the iconostasis we should be treating it with love, respect, and humility. People go behind there to be silent and at peace during the liturgy, and being free to prostrate (please coptic church remove the pews).

What are other people's thoughts on this?

In Christ,
