The Greek Orthodox Church and our Own..

edited December 1969 in Faith Issues
I know the big difference is the 2 natures of Chirst vs. the 1 nature, but that dispute has been settled so what remains... what still separates us from our Greek brothers and sisterS? What are the differences left to resolve? ;)

  • Hello,

In September 1990, the two families of Orthodoxy signed an

agreement on Christology, and recommendations were presented

to the different Orthodox Churches, to lift thr anathemas and

    enmity of the past.

As for its part, the Coptic Orthodox Church Synod, preside by H.H.

Pope Shenouda 111 has agreed to lift the anathemas, but this

will not take place unless this is performed bilaterally, possibly by

holding a joint ceremony. ( From Monophysitism: Reconsidered,

by Fr. Matthias F. Wahba )
