Actually, conspiracy theorists will tell you that the world is going towards a One World Power.....one country, lead by one government and unified. That is kind of supported by what is in the book of the Revelation......not that i personally agree with this whole concept of figuring out prophecies and matching them with current events. The Bible has many wars between Good and Evil, God and Satan. Therefore prophecies tend to be applicable to many times. concentrating on them instead of the spiritual meaning that brings us closer to God is what is intended.
