Engagement during fasting

Coptic Orthodox Church
I heard from one of my friends that there are no marriages in the Coptic church during fasting. I would like to know if this also applies to engagements.
I would appreciate help from anyone that knows this.

Engagements are ok in extenuating circumstances .. Weddings are not under any condition.
