hay guys,
i have this pamphlet about ' Have you got ur priorities right' and i thought it was pretty cool here it is:

Have you got your priorities right?
What makes life worth living? What things are important to you? Who is important? What really matters? Your relationships, belongings, hobbies and interests can only be seen to have any real value and worth if you always have Christ and Christian teachings as your top priority, everything else is secondary.

Self image
Sometimes it is the material things that give us self worth, or it could be certain abilities or other people. But the love of God is not based on personal achievement or group acceptance. God accepts us how we are. His love is eternal and everlasting. It is important to have a healthy self image. That is, to be happy with whom you are and how God made you. You are special because God made you. If you accept that in your life, then you will stop trying to be like someone else. Be happy with who u look. Be happy with your personality. Be happy with your school grades, if you know you can do better, then work harder. If you try to be like someone else then who will try to be like you? If you have a healthy self image then you will be more confident in everything u do.

Priorities
It is important in every area of your life that you prioritise what you do. If you learn to set priorities in your life at a young stage, this will help you to be organized which is a huge factor to being successful in life.

GOD:
Without Him you would not be here. If you always make God number 1 in your day, He will naturally be number 1 in you life. And everything you do will revolve around how you want to please God.

FAMILY:
Give your family priority. Spend time with them and show them you care. Your parents put great energy, love, heartache and money to make you the person you have become. The least you could do is spend some time with them every day. When everyone else lets you down, your family will always stick by you.

STUDY:
Be the best student that you can be. So that in the end you can tell yourself I did my best. If you try hard to be successful at school you will win as no one can take away your education. When you are studying, do the hard things first and finish off with the easy ones. Make yourself do them, and don’t get into the habit of putting off the worst things until the end.

FRIENDS:
Friends are a very important part of your teenage and adult life. We all need to have friends to talk to, and comfort us. Someone who we enjoy their company and look forward to seeing them. But don’t let your friendships take over you and your life. Choose friend who will allow you to be yourself. Don’t let your friendships distract you from other important things in life such as your relationship with God, family and study.

SPORT:
Exercise is an important part of your day and thus life. Make time to get some fresh air everyday. Get involved in some kind of sports group, or if you cant do this go for a walk or a bike ride. Besides the obvious health factor that exercise provides, it also stimulates your overall oxygen level and brain cell activity. This will help you study better and improve your general appearance.

A well balanced person knows how to prioritise all of the above categories in his/her life. You want to be a ‘light that shines before men (matt 5:16)’ so that people see you they will notice that thee is something different about you. Always strive to be a good Christian ambassador in all that you do.

Quotations
+ People should always give more consideration to how much they have rather than to how much they want
+ We are to take care of the possible and let God take care of the impossible
+ Its easier to do a good job then to explain why you didn’t
+ This present moment is all the time you can be sure of
+ When you were born, you cried and everyone else was happy. Live your life in such a way that when you die, you will b happy and every one else will cry.
+ Most of the things people worry about never happen
+ There are two kinds of people in the world: those who brighten the room when they enter, and those who brighten the room when they leave.

Bible Verses
+ “in everything you do give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 thess 5:18)
+ “Jesus said to him, ‘ if you can believe, all things are possible to him who belives.” (Mark 9:23)
+ “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all on the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Col 3:17)
+ “be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (phil 4:6-7)
+ “draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (james 4:8)
+ “remember now your creater in the days of your youth.” (Ecc 12:1)
+ “to everything there us a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” (Ecc 3:1)

GB ALL
+FROG+
GOD IS GREAT!!!!!!

Hi everyone! In my western civilization class we are studying Jesus and his impact in history and reform. my professor is convinced that Jesus was born in December and the weather was warm/hot. I first tried to explain that not everyone celebrates the birth of Christ in December. he had an abnoxious answer for eveything I said. He said that December or January its the same thing. I also tried to explain to him that the weather here in december or january is not the same as it is in the middle east. He suggested "how much of a differnce could it be" I felt that he was very ignorent in his comentary and lacked facts. I didnt know how to react to his thoughtless remarks, so I kind of backed off.

Was this the right thing to do, speak up and let the facts be known and perhaps this can effect my final grade? Im sure alot of you college students out there have experienced the speaking of religion in your classes, I would really like to hear your opinion and advice if it were to come up again. thnks

hi everyone i ve just been wondering about these two words and how they are related.
i am interested in waht everyone thinks of these two words in relations to the questions i am going to ask following some known definitions

dictionary

fun
–noun
1.	something that provides mirth or amusement: A picnic would be fun.
2.	enjoyment or playfulness: She's full of fun.

happiness
–noun
1.	the quality or state of being happy.
2.	good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy enjoying or showing or marked by joy or pleasure

notes on happiness
Happiness
Happiness is an emotional or affective state that is characterized by feelings of enjoyment and satisfaction. As a state and a subject, it has been pursued and commented on extensively throughout world history. This reflects the universal importance that humans place on''' happiness.

States associated with happiness -being, delight, health, safety, contentment, and love. Contrasting states include suffering, depression, grief, anxiety, and pain. Happiness is often associated with the presence of favorable circumstances such as a supportive family life, a loving marriage, and economic stability. Unfavorable circumstances, such as abusive relationships, accidents, loss of employment, and conflicts, diminish the amount of happiness a person experiences. However, according to several ancient and modern thinkers, happiness is influenced by the attitude and perspective taken on such circumstances
Various forms of Happiness
Many English language terms refer to various forms of happiness and pleasure. These terms vary in the intensity of the pleasure they describe, as well as the depth and longevity of the satisfaction. These include: bliss, joy, joyous, carefree, jubilant, exultant, cheerful, playful, amused, fun, glad, gay, gleeful, jolly, jovial, delighted, euphoric, ecstatic, thrilled, elated, enraptured, comfort, harmony, and triumphant. Gratification is a deep satisfaction gained from becoming totally absorbed in a complex activity or by working toward meaningful goals.
Societal theories of happiness
For Americans, the happy or ideal life is sometimes referred to as the American dream, In developing nations, factors such as hunger, disease, crime, corruption, and warfare can decrease happiness .

Psychological view
Positive psychology
the positive psychology definition of happiness as consisting of both positive emotions (like comfort) and positive activities (like absorption).
•	past: feelings of satisfaction, contentment, pride, and serenity.
•	present (examples): enjoying the taste of food, glee at listening to music, absorption in reading, and company of people you like e.g. friends and family.
•	future: feelings of optimism, hope, trust, faith, and confidence.
There are three categories of present positive emotions:
•	bodily pleasures, e.g. feeling the nirvana of sex.
•	higher pleasures, e.g. absorbing oneself in activities all-altruistic.
•	gratifications, e.g. absorption in reading.
The bodily and higher pleasures are "pleasures of the moment" and usually involve some external stimulus. An exception is the glee felt at having an original thought.
Gratifications involve full engagement, flow, elimination of self-consciousness, and blocking of felt emotions. But when a gratification comes to an end then positive emotions will be felt. Gratifications can be obtained or increased by developing signature strengths and virtues. Authenticity is the derivation of gratification and positive emotions from exercising signature strengths. The good life comes from using signature strengths to obtain abundant gratification in, for example, enjoying work and pursuing a meaningful life.

ok now after reading the above i know people will have some comments on the definitions and notes please write so ur views clearly specifying waht u think personally and then something else which could be diffrent from another source.

now the questions

waht do we as christains...orthodox christains define our happiness as?
do we seek this?..... and how much do we really seek this?
waht is the normal societies and worldly definitions waht activites do these include that define these words?
how much of our legs are stuck in each worlds defnition?
i know there are things that we do and get that involve happiness and some might overlap but there is definitely a group or something that accourding to christainity will make you walk either through the wide gate or the narrow gate.
please just give me ur general comments.
thanks.

For example Psalm 22 in the Agpeya, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..." is Psalm 23 in the Bible and Psalm 50 in the Agpeya "Have mercy on me, O God..." is Psalm 51 in the Bible. Through the grace of God we can hopefully discover why this difference exists. Thank you all!

The question is simple. How does science (not only evolution but biology.. chemistry.. physics.. geology.. astronomy.. etc..) prove God's existance. I've heard it said many times that 'Science doesn't disprove God.. it proves His existance' but I can't find any articles or anything that explain it. So will someone explain?

Hi,

I just saw the documentary 'Jesus Camp' and was wondering if anyone here as also seen it? Now for some follow-up questions..

What did you think of it? Did you agree with anything the people were saying? Or would you put them in the fundamentalist grouping?

Personally, i felt the people the documentary was about were extremists who give Christianity a bad name. I mean the people were really nutjobs.. They sincerely believe global warming isnt happening, George Bush is a "man of God", and that is their job to convert EVERYONE to their religion. Of course they also believe the whole "being born again" drivel. I mean, personally, i think everyone has the right to practice whatever religion they want. However, they should not try and force their views on others. lol, there was even a bit in the movie where a girl claimed that God wouldnt be in churches (such as ours), but rather God only attends churches where people are screaming out his name, singing loudly, cheering, clapping etc. The whole thing made me laugh.. Especially since our Church has its ancient traditions etc..

Anyway, i hope that hasnt all sounded like rambling...

Please i hope anyone else can give their feedback from that documentary because it really quite annoyed me and i would be interested in hearing any other opinions.

Matt

Greetings to all:
This a my true love story that i wrote in my creative writing class

The first week . . .
“My love, why do you run away . . . from my heart?
My love, why do you fear me?
My love don’t ponder or ever doubt my trust . . . because I will never once think to hurt or break an angle’s heart.” Said the stranger.
The third week . . .
“Come quickly now and embrace me with your love. Being away from you is killing me inside so please come quickly. If you gave me a chance and listen to your pure and kind heart, you will know to not be scared of me and know that I’m forever yours.” Said my friend.

I was in deep desperation. . . searching for love and to be loved. Love is the strongest and weakest part of me. Falling in love for me is like eating and not stopping; when I fall in love I can’t stop. Falling in love for me is like hearing but not listing and it’s like seeing but blinded by an emotion so strong.

I listened to him and listened to my heart. I was indeed bitter and cruel at first because of three reasons. The first and most essential and severe reason was that in my religion it is required a sin in liking a non-Christian individual. The second reason was that I doubted his love and loyalty that he gave me so quickly. The third reason was that at the time my heart was too fragile to be broken again. However I came to realize that he truly loved me without knowing who I am. He was the not first person I encountered but second. But it truly felt like first.

The sixth the week. . .
My fate was to never see my love again after my heart was fully opened to him. My heart was ironed by the fire of love in the air.

But now I know that it’s not true . . . the perfect guy does not exist.

My story ends here! i need prayers and prayers and prayers! i can't take it anymore!
I can't stop thinking about him and when i do my heart breaks in pieces! i really need prayers! I cry 4 him and i cry 4 thinking about when i know GOD turns away from me!
why do u look back and not foward?
why do i still have hope when the case is soo hopeless?
why do i miss and want everything back when i shoudn't?
why do i believe those memories were sweet when they are sour and bitter?

God BLess all and hope and pray to GOD that you woun't experience this pain!
