In the Catholic "Liturgy of the Hours" which is the Catholic version of the prayers for the hours of the day... the psalms, readings, intercessions, antiphons...etc change according to the season and whether a Feast/Memorial/Solemnity is ocurring on a  particular day(s).

In my copy of the Agpeya it contains the prayers for each of the hours with no change noted for special feast days, martyrs days..etc  I asked Coptic friends of mine about this and they said that the Agpeya never changes but that on special holy days for Jesus, the saints and martyrs they have Tasbeha in the church.

So my question is...if the Agpeya prayers remain the same throughout the year for each of the hours even on a holy day then would the prayers for Tasbeha be considered the special prayers that are reserved for these holy days separate from the Agpeya? and is the Coptic Synaxarium read as well at Tasbeha?

I always sang it the same way, but a deacon that is very knowledgeable in the rites of the church hymns sang it a bit differently and i just wanted to know what the standard was for the hymn so I may learn the correct one. This is the last part sung in the Greek Psali for the Three Saintly Children. I copied it from the Holy Psalmody. I want to know, why do we ask God to make his servant Sarkis, without condemnation? Is this Sarkis the same person as St. Sarkis, who was a martyr in the early church (more specifically, the Armenian Orthodox Church)? If this is the same person, then why do we pray the following during this Greek Psali when he refused to renounce his faith and died a martyr? Please help me to understand... I don't know too much about these hymns
