How can we trust God during difficult times, trials and suffering??? There is a friend of the family who was raised Coptic all his life. In the last ten years he has completely denied God. I have gotten in many discussions with him on the matter. What can I say to make him believe that we as humans did not evolve from singled celled organisms millions of years ago but rather were created by God? Thanks for any thoughts.

yes i'm an egyptian girl who is a total star wars geek lol but thats not the point of this topic. The point is actually very spiritual. So i was watching return of the sith the other day and i felt like it really connected to our struggle with spirituality. You see, Anakin Skywalker turns into Darth Vader because of his thirst for power, his desire to be in control and to be more than just another Jedi. He has no patience and believes that if he turns to the dark side, he'll get his freedom. He believes this is the only way he can save the love of his life instead of letting her die like his mother did, but what is ironic is that she ends up dying because he turned to the dark side. Now obviously he has become evil because he kills young children in hope of destroying anyone that would go against him in the future. I believe those are the very same reasons why many people stray from God. They have no patience if things aren't going exactly their way. They think that it will give them freedom because they can follow their own laws and be in control of their lives and that its only their own power that can save them. Also, i've even found my own self saying "i don't want to conform and be like every other person in church". (Much like how Anakin didn't want to be like every other Jedi). I warn you all that these thoughts are dangerous. They start out as a desire for "freedom" but then make us do things that go against our values. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a different person, but we have to always keep in mind that God created us, therefore we have to obey Him, and He does truly love us, thus we should always have patience. Power on earth gets us nowhere. The objective of living is to humble ourselves and keep our treasures in heaven. So yeah..i didn't really have a question, just a connection i wanted to make, what do you guys think?

One of my close friends at church is really sad right now. I don't agree with what she did, but i don't want to tell her because she'll feel even worse about herself. Here's the problem:

My Friend, let's call her x, so x likes a guy, that i seriously dislike. He's a flirt and she got jealous, oh btw, he doesn't know she likes him. so x got so mad she started writing him a letter saying stuff like " How can u be at church and all you do is check out grls, etc''
She got really agessive with the letter. She l8r put it in his wallet, when he left it unattended. She thought he had read the 1st letter so she wrote a second telling him she cares. After reading the second letter before the first, his pride got to him, thinking he's the best, but when he opened his wallet moments later and found the note, he got mad, REALLY MAD. So, naturally, he wrote he a letter back insulting her.
Now, she wants to get me involved and he's using me as his messenger along with another friend, and i'm sick of it. I want to help x and give her advice, but i don't want her to involve my like she always does.

plz help

GBU
ps keep us all in ur prayers

Holiness! A wonderful and precious way of living! That state of being dear to the heart of every faithful christian.

What is holiness? In the New Testament the word basically means "sanctification" which in turn means "to be set apart". All christians are called to a life of personal holiness.A life of purity.A life seperate from the corrupting influences of this present world(the world system};one set apart unto the glory and honor of our God.A life that says NO to sin and YES to God. We need to tell sin," Sin,I hate you! I want no part of you anymore! I'm a temple of the Holy Spirit and there's no place for you here. Get out of my life and dont come back!" By God's grace we will overcome the power of sin in our life.

As we begin to walk the path of purity, the way of holiness, people around us will begin to notice a difference in our lives. The'll say,"Hmmm, theres something different about my friend. He or she doesnt do the things they use to do--getting drunk and partying, swearing, listening to bad music,etc.etc. I wonder whats come over them". Then we'll be able to tell them about the hope that is within us, that we're christians,a people set apart for the glory and honor of God.We'll tell them that we love Jesus and want to please Him in all things. As christians we cant do the things that the world thinks are cool and OK, but rather God has saved us and called us to a different life.A life of purity and holiness before the LORD.The world may think that purity and holiness are boring and restrictive but actually we find true happiness and freedom when we obey the LORD and keep His commandments.Being a christian is a wonderful and fullfulling life which the world cant understand until they recieve the Lord Jesus Christ and believe on His Name.

My friends, can people see a difference in our lives? Is our life a witness to the power and love of our Lord Jesus. Is our life set apart dedicated to God. If not then let us ask God to give us grace and help us live a life pleasing unto the LORD our God .A holy, pure, set apart life.

"Now in a great house there are not only vessals of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore,if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable,he will be a vessal for honorable use,set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work",2nd Timothy 2:20,21.

So then, let us be honorable vessals of gold and silver, set apart for the honor and glory of our great master the Lord Jesus Christ, being ready for every good work.Let us walk in the path of purity, in the beauty of Holiness. :)

Gold Wrapping Paper
hey every body I got this msg on my email and I would like to share it with you:
>It did touch me. Gold Wrapping Paper I received this from a friend who
had
>a choice to make. It said that I had a choice to make too. I've
chosen.
>Now it's your turn to choose. The story goes that some time ago a
mother
>punished her 5 year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold
>wrapping paper. Money was tight and she became even more upset when
the
>child used the gold paper to decorate a box to put under the Christmas
>tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her mother
the
>next morning and said, "This is for you, Momma." The mother was
embarrassed
>by her earlier over-reaction, but her anger flared again when she
opened
>the box and found it was empty. She spoke to her daughter in a harsh
>manner. "Don't you know, young lady, when you give someone a present
>there's supposed to be something inside the package?" She had tears
in her
>eyes and said, "Oh, Momma, it's not empty! I blew kisses into it until
it
>was full." The mother was crushed. She fell on her knees and put her
arms
>around her little girl, and she begged her forgiveness for her
thoughtless
>anger. An accident took the life of the child only a short time later,
and
>it is told that the mother kept that gold box by her bed for all the
years
>of her life. Whenever she was discouraged or faced difficult problems
she
>would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the
love of
>the child who had put it there. In a very real sense, each of us, as
human
>beings, have been given a Golden box filled with unconditional love
and
>kisses from our children, family, friends and GOD. There is no more
>precious possession anyone could hold. You now have two choices: 1.
Pass
>this on to your friends, or 2. Delete it and act like it didn't touch
your
>heart. As you can see, I took choice No. 1. Friends are like angels
who
>lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to
fly.
>HAVE A WONDERFUL AND SPIRITFULLED EASTER SEASON We are wishing you
the
>happiest moments of the upcoming holidays as you celebrate your family
>traditions and create a lifetime of memories."
GOd bless and pray for me.
