It seems the LORD wants us to lay down our life in the right season yet providing all our needs and provides for the time of rest and harvest. I find it hard to believe that He would not want us to enjoy our life so I am guessing He does but in the proper time.

Now I know talent does not only mean money some would ignorantly say talent does not mean money

I sometimes wish I was born poor because I don't have the wisdom to use this money wisely but then I would face other problems such as how to give to my children I would not be able to get married

I really want to ask why exacly was I born from a well off family?

How come God believes in some but does not believe in others? does He randomly choose some to be born this way and others to be born another way? what happen to free will? does He forsee things? so should I think of poor people as all irresponsible people?

Do I really have the ability to use wisely?

I feel there is an issue here that needs to be explored but I can't quite help myself put it forward

How much money do I really need to support a wife and kids? If I work for $50,000 a year and save that up instead of spending for myself but I will spend for my wife and kids is that enough to support them? my dad says it is enough but I do not believe him.

I want to sacrifice my future  (or my extra blessings -I will finish my degree atleast and work atleast)so my children who I hope are more faithful than me can use it. Or I will give it to people whom I trust no offense but that seems highly unlikely (just too many years and people advising me not to do that and seeing them just use me) I can only give to my children.

I am happy to help those in need so there is no more needy people in our congregation. I don't need to help the people in sudan I can help those near me where I live in my city who are just not prosperous.
I think if we did this more people would join our churches for we will be famous among the churches of God however there may be hypocrites but the book of acts still thought it was good

I am worried if I take this path I will never have a family or children but something in me wants to preserve my inheritance for those who will make good use of it.

Anyway I feel inside our wealth will somehow change hands one day and be given to the righteous as I am lazy my dad though had not been lazy

I feel forced to conclude I should not get married unless I feel independent and productive. That makes me grieve I feel my cousins and my parents want me to get married otherwise I will look weird and I do not know the consequences of singleness

I am averagely rich. I think that compensates me before people because of my social anxiety..
but it seems I am greedy and want to keep it for myself. I hope this does not apply to me "the wealth of the sinner will be stored up for the righteous" That is because the sinner keeps the poor in bondage and is too lazy and an unprofitable servant. Not because God wants to execute this harsh judgement but because that person is careless God providing a way for him to rise again perhaps

Most likely after all this I will not change. I was supposed to buy a $2 sim today only and I went and bought a dragon ball z videogame. I am 26 for God's sake

It is a narrow way. I want to trust my own way because I can't struggle with doubts in myself  I am willing to trust myself I am a visible person. I am tired of crying before God because of my struggles. I stopped crying a long time ago. I will not have God delay in answering me.
Noone cared about my spiritual life people in church only liked to be with those who play sports rather than people who wander off into a bush to pray. And then is trivia night when I look like a bad example of the christian life

I truly do not fast because then I will blame God if I suffer because of it. But now I can only blame myself as I see people who do not fast who are successful and I would be content with their success.

I guess I am not living a life led by God I want happiness now because I don't trust God will protect me from sickness and when I am sick I want to remember the good times I had.

I really want to be obedient now I can do important stuff first and then take a break when it is necessary.

Now I want to talk about solitude or monasticism. I truly believe those who overcome as a monk will gain indescribable peace. No passions only love. However I lost faith in monasticism as I see people become sick when they are monks and I constantly got sick when I used to seek my salvation with fear all the day. I would like to struggle hard as a monk with prayers and fasting and all that I can do but it seems God has not provided for that way or people would not become sick. God should make monks feel happy in that way. He should give something similar to the breaks worldly people have. I would like to say as far as visions of Christ but that is asking too much. I wish I could once have a dream or vision about Jesus

Also this life is so short what will anyone accomplish as a monk? Solomon says there is nothing better than for a man to work and enjoy the fruits of their labor

I really need God to be very close without leaving me at all if I become a monk which I am not going to be ofcourse. I would like to look up to this way of life but I just feel the demons of despair kill most

where is the proof that monks have chosen a life much more aware of God and the world? where is the joy of tasting closerness to Christ when overcoming a war? where is seeing their prayers answered?

It was very hard finding a quiet place to pray where noone is people always pass by... and I was becoming a maniac in the eyes of my family. I wept in the park at night when I was in heavy despair because of a spiritual struggle. I like to pray loud but then family wonders what I am doing. I read the bible with all seriousness trying to learn to be saved terrified of not doing works to please God terrified of being the foolish virgin and praying with weeping for my families salvation my dad not hearing me but him stopping me from reading the bible too much he tells me the narrow way to life is simply finding Jesus. Works are the result of being saved to him. He called me lazy avoiding my studies

Now God is called a fair judge which is why He gave everyone the chance to believe in Him the same chance to all the Israelites
Now Jesus talks about a sin not even being forgiven in the world to come

Today things are not all fair my sense of justice tells me
those who did not have the same opportunity to accept the gospel will be given in another world He says He has another flock who will hear His voice

So we must still pray for the dead but we can hope for all

Now the purpose of this post is to inform you that tasting the glories of the kingdom is not meant for all for all must repent
To be kinder I indulge the topic of seeking the lost by other means in another world who have reason to be lost but this does not seem practical to me and this does not mean all will repent given more grace "Let grace be shown to the wicked and he will not learn righteousness"

Many of Christs own fans will not enter the kingdom of God unless God accepts them from purgatory I will discuss from common sense what the righteous will agree to

He still might desire to save people after them going to a purgatory but I am just talking about fair justice assuming some will perish or be damned now after this death and I will talk about this same result perish or damnation at the end

Now to address the topic of damnation with all sensitivity it really is just a divorce the divorced sinner will be provided by her husband the LORD but will be separated from all that is His and His affection for all time unless the spouse is sorry then he/she will have a significantly reduced sentence or cease to exist
They will live away from the presence of the LORD they will still feel happy in hell perhaps (maybe like a new earth) but not complete they will live with weeping and gnashing of teeth when they remember the righteous

Now all will be dealt with tenderly God will draw all people to Himself by blessing them and they must respond to His love

But to taste of the kingdom of God how will that be fair to the righteous ? Who must be recompensed for the evil they have suffered and not reminded of the pain caused by the ungodly they have enough pain to be remembered for all eternity why have any more ?

All will know the LORD everyone will hear the message it is up to them to love Him or not

Now this is very fair you accused me of being a heretic because you did not want to challenge your traditions for fear of men and lack of love to God

It remains just as Jesus said to all the Jews Noone can come to Me I.e choose Jesus unless the Father who sent Him draws Him
Everyone who has learned from the Father comes to Jesus
He gave those Jews the choice to choose what is just in their eyes and the God that they will worship

Its not that God does not want to save. His love endures forever but their hate endures forever

Church Scandals Must Come

Scandals must come (Matt. 18:7).

These are the words of Christ. He tells us that scandals are not only likely to happen – but that they will happen. They are necessary (ἀνάγκη).

Most readers will marvel that this is a quote from Jesus. The reason is simple: the Greek (ἀνάγκη γάρ ἐστιν ἐλθεῖν τὰ σκάνδαλα) is rarely translated in such a manner. “Stumbling blocks,” or “offenses,” is the more common way to render the word skandala (σκάνδαλα). But the Greek has a very simple cognate in English: scandal.

Why would Christ tell his disciples that scandals must come? It is a description of the nature of things in this world. The entrance of the Kingdom of God and its dwelling among men is not such that men will cease to be broken or evil. Christ warned His disciples that he himself would be betrayed – not by strangers – but by one of them!

And this has ever been the case. From the earliest days of the faith, disciples have been betrayed, misled, robbed, deceived, cheated, taught falsely, raped and abused. There has never been an idyllic season of the Church when such scandals have been absent. In Western Europe where various reform movements have remade Christianity repeatedly – circumstances have presented scandals needing attention – but reforms have never succeeded in ending them. Christ’s words remain true regardless.

Of course, no religious group is free of scandal – I am not as familiar with those of others as I am of our own – but everybody’s got them. And the non-religious are as scandal-ridden as the religious. Hypocrisy is equal opportunity. The problem does not lie within religion or its absence – it is an inherent part of the human condition.

What of Christ’s words? Are scandals part of some Divine Plan? I think that would take his words in the wrong way. The passage begins with the warning, “Woe to the world because of scandals!” and concludes, “Woe to that man by whom the scandal comes!” Of course, the great scandal, is the “falling away,” warned of by Christ and the apostles.

[Christ, speaking of the time of great troubles] And then many will be scandalized, and will betray one another, and will hate one another (Matt. 24:10).

And St. Paul:

[speaking of the coming of Christ] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first… (2 Thess. 2:3)

We can speculate about the internal nature of the great scandal or the falling away. But there is no New Testament version of the Christian faith that does not contain this aspect. It is part of the most primitive layer of Apostolic Tradition. It is part of Christ’s own teaching.

My experience as a Christian has been that everything “rhymes” with the larger picture of the faith. We can speak about the “last days,” and waste time speculating about such things. But Christian history has been replete with days that fit the pattern offered for those times. There is no Christian journey that is without scandal and a falling away. If we do not fall away, it is not because it never crossed our mind. Everyman in the course of a lifetime has the chance to be Peter or Judas.

If there is an inner necessity to the scandal, it is not within the scandal itself. The inner necessity is within us. The temptation that accompanies scandal is something that must be faced and overcome. Apparently, we cannot enter the kingdom of God without it.

Scandal (a “cause of stumbling”) comes in many forms. It can be as bold as corruption in the hierarchy, or moral turpitude within a priest. It can also be a prayer that we perceive to have been unanswered or God’s strange absence when we thought we could count on him. Anything that causes us to lose heart, to quit, to abandon the journey qualifies as scandal.

We admire the great martyrs and the courage of their suffering. But in most lives, suffering has a very banal quality: it offers us little chance to play the hero. I am very fond of the books on the life and work of Father Arseny. His stories are those of a saint in the Soviet Gulag. Some of the stories are quite miraculous, but most are born of the grace-filled ability to bear the innumerable indignities of a single hour, day after day. Such martyrdom over a period of decades is frightfully boring and tedious. And it is the boredom and tedium that become the scandal that he endured.

Scandal tests and proves the life of the heart. A life lived in the mind (thoughts and emotions) will endure scandal only with the greatest difficulty. Whatever the insult created by an actual scandal, the mind and the emotions will magnify it, rehearse it, argue with it, judge it, replay it repeatedly, become angry and despondent. The work of the mind is much harder to bear than the scandal itself. We are scandalized by our own passions.

The heart does not seek to judge. It understands the nature of righteousness and is not surprised by the presence of sin.

However, I take heart that Christ’s warning concerning the scandal that must come offers no condemnation for those who fall. His truly serious warning is for the one through whom the scandal comes. We all fall (at least everyone I know falls). I pray that when I stumble, I take no one with me. God give us grace.

I find these two prayers (from Orthodox Daily Prayers) to be of great help:

Save, Lord, and have mercy on those whom I have caused to stumble, turning them away from the path of salvation and leading them to evil and unseemly deeds. Return them to the path of salvation by Thy Divine Providence.

Save, Lord, and have mercy on those who hate and offend me, and do me harm. Do not let them perish because of me.
