      <description><![CDATA[Hi, i don&#39;t know if you guys heard, but i beleive that some, if not all the Monasteries in Egypt are closed to visitors till the 14th of Octobre becasue of a threat from muslims that they will blow up the Monasteries.... I later got an e-mail saying that Anba Bishoy appeard in His Holy Monastery... please some one confirm this if they heard anything... and please don&#39;t take my word for it until some one else confirms it...i don&#39;t want to be spreading around false facts...but these are what i heard...<br /><br />I know that the part about the Moansteries closing to visitors is true becasue it was the Priest that told us.... so at least I know that much is true.....]]></description>

Its easier for the educated to put in the time and energy to learn what is going on.       <description><![CDATA[Hey, you know in this new movie Hassan and Morcos, Adel Imam is wearing a priests clothes but he can take them off (I mean it&#39;s allowed, whereas with normal priests it&#39;s not), and he doesn&#39;t have to have a beard and he doesn&#39;t wear a hat (I don&#39;t know the exact term). So what position is that in the church exactly, what are the duties of such a person?? I know for sure it exists (not only in the movie) but in real life, since I&#39;ve seen such men on pictures also...<br /><br />Could someone please explain, and are there any other positions in church that are relatively unknown yet do exist???<br /><br />(oh and ps: what&#39;s the difference between osqof and moutraan?)<br /><br />Thanks in advance<br />God Bless<br />Please pray for me]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Not too long ago a bishop was over our house, and the subject of monasticism came up.&nbsp; The general conclusion was that &quot;its current state, is much different from what it orignally was.&quot;&nbsp; <br />Nowadays monk cells are being built having some of the following luxuries: tiled floors, 2 seperate rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom, some even have airconditioning (i personally witnessed teh building of these cells with this general format).&nbsp;  <br /><br />In my personal opinion, i find it totally against the whole point of monasticism.&nbsp; These people are sworn into a sacred society taht live by poverty amongst other things.&nbsp; Are these things really required?&nbsp; <br /><br />I would appreciate your opinions, because i know there are two sides to a story, and i&#39;d love to see the other side.&nbsp; <br /><br />thanks and God bless.]]></description>
