Its awful. I think we ought to propagate this information as far as possible so people in Egypt know that Islam IS a danger to minorities. There IS hatred in Islam towards non muslims!!

What would they do to Egypt?

In terms of marketing, they look me3afineen and disgusting, but perhaps that's not their fault.. they're not really smart looking, but then its not a beauty pageant either.

I would hate to see any of these bozos representing Egypt at an International Level. I'd be totally embarassed.

As far as I know, they are trying to re-invent themselves - pretending or making out that they are the party of Freedom, Democracy, Tolerance...

But what would it mean for the Coptic Orthodox Church if they took power? Do we really understand their agenda? They are saying that the Saudi Regime is not islamic
Iran is not Islamic
Pakistan is not Islamic.

What the heck is this??? All these countries calling themselves Islamic States, and not one of them is Islamic enough for the Muslim Brotherhood???

Finally, its clear that Egypt will be heading towards real democracy. the Muslim Brotherhood not only has re-invented itself as some sort of "charity organisastion", but they aren't even as popular as what people have feared.

Should the Coptic Church therefore encourage that one of its own children enter into politics to defend and support rights of Coptic Christians in the next egyptian government? If so, who would that be?

What are the wishes / demands of the Coptic Orthodox Church for the next Egyptian Government?

Of course it doesn't replace confessions, its just meant to remind you of EVERY single sin you could have ever possibly committed.

To the Egyptian Youth:
I call upon you to protect Egypt our dear Mother Nation. The main and important issue now is not whom
you are with or against. The main issue is Egypt. Whoever supports or opposes should do so for the sake
of Egypt. The true freedom and democracy that you are seeking is the ability to accept the other’s
opinion with love and understanding.
If you divide and fight against each other, the loser is Egypt; and whoever of the opponents or
supporters does not preserve Egypt is a traitor to her.
The voice of truth has reached the ears of the authorities and genuine steps towards reform are under
consideration. Therefore, opportunity and time have to be given for the fulfillment of promises.
Continuing with demonstration brings about nothing except destruction to our beloved country. This is
the time to put our hands together in order to build Egypt. You have succeeded in achieving the
impossible. Now is the time to work together to safeguard those milestones you have gone to bring
about reformation.
Therefore, I call upon you to:
Firstly, stop immediately attacking each other because we all have one goal and that is Egypt.
Secondly, dismiss immediately all demonstrations in order to restore safety and stability.
Thirdly, stop anyone, either from the media or the public, who might try to allure and tempt you
towards confusion and carelessness. Some will try hard to spoil your beautiful revolution just to
achieve their own personal aims and interests.
Fourthly, cooperate with each other towards the goal of building our dear mother nation Egypt
on the principles of freedom, safety, democracy, justice and equality.
Fifthly, give those in charge a chance to implement and subsequently periodically evaluate what
they have promised and to bring to justice the slackers regardless of their posts.
My beloved, I am writing to you these words with a bleeding heart for Egypt. Let us all cry out “We love
you Egypt” and turn this love into constructive action.

I used to pray the hail mary prayer which I learned in Catholic school from my youth.

Is it okay to use it?  I think that its theologically in sync with our own tradition but I'm looking for other perspectives.

Philadelphia: February 4, 2011. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, Chief of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC urged US administration to consider due participation of Coptic Christian in new transitional power structure of Egypt.

“It is surprising that Coptic Christian being 15% of population of Egypt are entirely forgotten in new power sharing formula” said Dr. Bhatti

The Coptic Christians are a persecuted community and face violence by extremists Muslims on religion grounds and its very important that when Egypt is shaping up for new democratic era Coptic Christian’s participation can shape Egypt as real democratic state said Nazir Bhatti

PCC Chief waned that any transitional council formed comprising of Egyptian military generals shall fall short to comply with democratic norms but a council in participation with political parties and Coptic Christians shall be a way forward to true spirit of democracy.

It will be very important to bring Muslim Brotherhood in mainstream democratic process and given participation in transitional team to lineout legal framework and responsibilities of every political and religious group in Egypt.

Nazir Bhatti said “Pakistani Christians have grave concerns for Coptic Christians and rising violence against them on hands of radical Muslims and now its time to protect their rights of religious freedom through setting their constitutional equal rights.

Meanwhile, Voice of Copts, a representative body of Coptic Christians Diaspora in USA, also having office in Italy have given an international call to arrest Mubarak.

Dr. Ashraf Ramelah, President of Voice of Copts have issues a press statement saying that in light of the information reaching our office that the Egyptian regime has escalated violence against demonstrators and foreigner journalists.

Voice of the Copts strongly condemns the use of weapons by regime police and Special Forces in plain clothes who are riding horses and camels to control the crowds in El- Tahrir square.


The failing dictator and his regime have shown their true neo- Nazi face as he uses violence against his own people to protect his own interests.

After thirty years under the rule of an oppressive fascist regime the demonstrators which are now asking for their freedom in the streets must have the support of the entire free world.

The safety of the Egyptian people as well as the historic treasure of ancient Egypt which have now been vandalized by the hand of the Mubarak regime is the responsibility of the entire free world.

Voice of the Copts demands an international coalition to intervene immediately to protect Egyptian civilians and to arrest Mubarak along with his neo-Nazi regime members and bring them to international criminal court.
