I am your father and teacher, all of you my children, listen to my commandments, for I ask you my beloved children, preserve and look after the faith of the Holy Trinity.
I ask my beloved children, love one another with a true love.
I ask you my beloved, do good with all humanity.
I ask my beloved children, do not let the world deceive you.
I ask you my beloved children, do not fall short or “be not eager” in the service of the Lord.
I ask you my beloved children, to pray without ceasing and tirelessly.
I ask you o my beloved children, preserve your tongues from causing any division.
I ask of you my beloved children, to preserve the Holy Baptism that was granted to you.
I ask of you my beloved children, preserve your body pure for the Lord.
I ask of you my beloved children, do not ever lamp weaken without light.
I ask of you my beloved children, preserve the commandments that God gave to you.
I ask of you my beloved children, that the fear of God be within you.

God is witness, my beloved children, that I did not keep any of God’s words from away you…that I never ever slept my children, and be blamed by any one of you…that if you preserve and keep what I have told you, you will crush the head of the serpent and dragon. So hence, if you preserve and keep what I have said to you, you will eat of the goodness of the earth. So hence, if you preserve and keep what I have said to you, the shinning Cherubim will guard you. So hence, if you preserve and keep what I have said to you, you will never lack of the Heavenly gifts.

I ask of you my beloved children, to ask of Christ for my soul, that it may have comfort in front of Him, and do not count my short falls, unknowingly and unwillingly. (Then he directs his talks to the Bishops, clergy and priests) I ask for your love and I plead to your reverence, to absolve me from everyone. And now, I am far from you and left you, and I cannot see your faces. And now I ask of you all, that you exhaust yourselves in prayers for me, remembrance in the Holy Liturgies, that my Master may accept me to Him, and forgive me.

And I ask Christ, the Great Shepherds of Shepherds, that he may elect for you a righteous shepherd according to His Will and heart, that he may shepherd you and your matters and watch for the salvation of your souls.

This is a day that we will never forget. The day our holy father, Pope Abba Shenouda III, has passed on to eternity. We knew this day would come soon, our father was very ill and suffered greatly for a number of years. Let us remember that. That while he suffered through many physical ailments, he still led his flock faithfully. He remained obedient to Christ and never seemed to be troubled, but carried this child like simplicity to the end. Through his sufferings he also dealt with one of the most tense times in the Churches history, and yet remained peaceful, smiling again with that child like simplicity.

I often forget what it means to suffer, our holy father embodied this. Despite everything he was faced with he remained steadfast and endured to the end. I will remember this. As I close my discussions with my close brothers and sisters I end by saying "endure" which they respond "to the end". This truly has taken on a new meaning for me, it is no longer just a word defined by a dictionary, but defined by our holy father, not by words but in his life. He endured to the end. While I weep, I weep because I am selfish. His words were so instrumental in my conversion and so it is difficult for me to think that this man, who has become like my father, is now gone.

Fear not my brothers and sisters, God provided us with a great man, an angel, for a very long time. He has not forgotten us. May the Lord have mercy on all our souls and keep us at peace in this time of mourning. Goodbye Baba, thank you for all you have done for me and for the Church of God. I will miss you.

I was looking on an Ethiopian website and I found that they have different Anaphoras than we do. Here is the list that they had:
Official Anaphoras:
1) Of the Apostles
2) Of our Lord Jesus Christ
3) Of our Lady Mary
4) Of St. John Chrysostom
5) Of St. Dioscorus
6) Of St. John the Evangelist
7) Of St. Gregory the Armenian
8) Of the 318 Orthodox
9) Of St. Athanasius
10) Of St.Basil
11) Of St. Gregory Nazianzen
12) Of St.Epiphanius
13) Of St. Cyril
14) Of James Serug

How come we only have St. Cyril's, St. Greogry's, and St. Basil's? Also, I heard from two different sources that St. James's is the oldest one and from other source that St. Cyril's or St. Mark's is the oldest one. Any clarification please?

Does anybody have Mizbah al zolma by Abu al-Barakat Ibn Kabar in Arabic? I know there is an English version online that has chapters 1-4 of book 1. I'm looking for the remaining chapters. Does anybody have a pdf version of the Arabic text (either Samir Khalil's 1972 version or Bishop Samuel's 1992 version)?

"In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria; a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, "Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance." (Isa 19:24-25)

Can anybody please tell me more about this prophecy? Is this prophecy figurative or literal? If it is figurative, has it been fulfilled? I know the Assyrian church is Nestorius and is considered heretical and to my own understanding Israel is Jewish. It seems that if this prophecy is not figurative, it will take a LONG time before it is fulfilled.
