I cried with my voice, before You O my Lord, because of fasting, grant me salvation.
Help my weakness, O Savior, because of fasting, clean our dirt.

The serpent deceived, Eve and Adam, and because of fasting, the Lord had compassion upon them.
Truly the mind of Enoch, was enlightened, and because of fasting, he was lifted up to heaven.

+ Elijah in his prayer, asked and received, and because of fasting, he stopped the rain from coming.
+ The sacrifice of Abraham, the Lord accepted, and because of fasting, he waited upon God.

Isaac the beloved, was offered as a sacrifice, and because of fasting, he was joyfully saved.
And also Jacob, his eyes were darkened, and because of fasting, he saw the ladder.

+ And also Joseph, was sold to some men, and because of fasting. he reigned over Egypt.
+ Moses the prophet, spoke with God, and because of fasting, he received the two tablets.

Noah the righteous, before the flood, because of fasting, he made the ark.
The men of Nineveh, have repented, and because of fasting, the Lord heard their voices.

+ And Lot in the fire, through his deeds, and because of fasting, he was saved with his daughters.
+ And likewise Jonah, in the belly of the whale, because of fasting, he came out safely.

The mouths of the lions, could not approach Daniel, and because of fasting, they were subdued through his prayer.
Samuel the anointer, of the kings, because of fasting, his days increased.

+ And the three children, of Babylon, because of fasting, they quenched the fire.

God of all gods, Jesus the Judge, because of fasting, confirmed the stragglers.

بصوتى صرخت، إليك يا إلهى، فمن أجل الصوم، أعطنى خلاصاً.
أعن ضعفى، أيها المخلص، من أجل الصوم، أغسل أقذارنا.

لأن آبائنا الأولين، أعلمونا أنه، من أجل الصوم، قد فازوا بالخلاص.
داود إبن يسى، فى ملكه، ومن أجل الصوم، نال الغلبة.

حواء وآدم، أطغتهما الحية، ومن أجل الصوم، تحنن الرب عليهما.
حقاً إستنار، عقل أخنوخ، ومن أجل الصوم، رُفع إلى السماء.

إيليا فى صلاته، طلب فأخذ، ومن أجل الصوم، لم يدع مطراً يأتى.
ذبيحة إبراهيم، قبلها الرب إليه، ومن أجل الصوم، قد ضاف الله إليه.

إسحق الحبيب، قُدم إلى الذبح، ومن أجل الصوم، خَلص بتهليل.
ويعقوب أيضاً، أظلمت عيناه، ومن أجل الصوم، نظر السلم.

ويوسف أيضاً، بيع لأناس، ومن أجل الصوم، صار ملكاً على مصر.
موسى النبى، تكلم مع الله، ومن أجل الصوم، أخذ اللوحين.

الصديق نوح، قبل الطوفان، من أجل الصوم، صنع الفلك.
رجال نينوى، بغتة، من أجل الصوم، سمع الرب صوتهم.

نجا لوط من النار، بأعماله، ومن أجل الصوم، خَلص مع إبنتيه.
يونان النبى، فى بطن الحوت، من أجل الصوم، خرج سالماً حسناً.

أفواه الأسود، لم تقترب من دانيال، ومن أجل الصوم، خضعت بصلاته.
صموئيل، ماسح الملوك، من أجل الصوم، طالت أيامه.

والثلاثة فتية، فى بابل، من أجل الصوم، أطفأوا النار.
ها سادتى، الآباء الرسل، من أجل الصوم، ردوا الأمم.

إله الآلهة، يسوع الديان، من أجل الصوم، ثبت المجاهدين.
برودة وراحة، ونياحاً، من أجل الصوم، تكون فى الدينونة.

علمنا المخلص، فى إنجيله، من أجل الصوم، نُخرج الشياطين.
أيها المتحنن، على الخطاة، من أجل الصوم، إغفر لنا خطايانا.
