Deuteronomy 32:39 - 43

'Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand. For I raise My hand to heaven, And say, "As I live forever, If I whet My glittering sword, And My hand takes hold on judgment, I will render vengeance to My enemies, And repay those who hate Me. I will make My arrows drunk with blood, And My sword shall devour flesh, With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the heads of the leaders of the enemy." ' "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And render vengeance to His adversaries; He will provide atonement for His land and His people."

Isaiah 60:1-8

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. "Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory. "Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts?

Isaiah 42:5-17

Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it: "I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles, To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house. I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them." Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise from the ends of the earth, You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, You coastlands and you inhabitants of them! Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, The villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing, Let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory to the Lord, And declare His praise in the coastlands. The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies. "I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once. I will lay waste the mountains and hills, And dry up all their vegetation; I will make the rivers coastlands, And I will dry up the pools. I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them. They shall be turned back, They shall be greatly ashamed, Who trust in carved images, Who say to the molded images, 'You are our gods.'

Isaiah 49:13-23

Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted. But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me." "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. Your sons shall make haste; Your destroyers and those who laid you waste Shall go away from you. Lift up your eyes, look around and see; All these gather together and come to you. As I live," says the Lord, "You shall surely clothe yourselves with them all as an ornament, And bind them on you as a bride does. "For your waste and desolate places, And the land of your destruction, Will even now be too small for the inhabitants; And those who swallowed you up will be far away. The children you will have, After you have lost the others, Will say again in your ears, 'The place is too small for me; Give me a place where I may dwell.' Then you will say in your heart, 'Who has begotten these for me, Since I have lost my children and am desolate, A captive, and wandering to and fro? And who has brought these up? There I was, left alone; But these, where were they?' " Thus says the Lord God: "Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, And set up My standard for the peoples; They shall bring your sons in their arms, And your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders; Kings shall be your foster fathers, And their queens your nursing mothers; They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, And lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord, For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me."

Jeremiah 31:23-28

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: "They shall again use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I bring back their captivity: 'The Lord bless you, O home of justice, and mountain of holiness!' And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all its cities together, farmers and those going out with flocks. For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul." After this I awoke and looked around, and my sleep was sweet to me. "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast. And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the Lord.

Habakkuk 3:2-19

O Lord, I have heard your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy. God came from Teman, The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise. His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden. Before Him went pestilence, And fever followed at His feet. He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, The perpetual hills bowed. His ways are everlasting. I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction; The curtains of the land of Midian trembled. O Lord, were You displeased with the rivers, Was Your anger against the rivers, Was Your wrath against the sea, That You rode on Your horses, Your chariots of salvation? Your bow was made quite ready; Oaths were sworn over Your arrows. You divided the earth with rivers. The mountains saw You and trembled; The overflowing of the water passed by. The deep uttered its voice, And lifted its hands on high. The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; At the light of Your arrows they went, At the shining of Your glittering spear. You marched through the land in indignation; You trampled the nations in anger. You went forth for the salvation of Your people, For salvation with Your Anointed. You struck the head from the house of the wicked, By laying bare from foundation to neck. You thrust through with his own arrows The head of his villages. They came out like a whirlwind to scatter me; Their rejoicing was like feasting on the poor in secret. You walked through the sea with Your horses, Through the heap of great waters. When I heard, my body trembled; My lips quivered at the voice; Rottenness entered my bones; And I trembled in myself, That I might rest in the day of trouble. When he comes up to the people, He will invade them with his troops. Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls-- Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills.

Zechariah 2:10-end

"Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst," says the Lord. Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem. Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!"

Isaiah 49:6-11

Indeed He says, 'It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.'" Thus says the Lord, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the Lord who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You." Thus says the Lord: "In an acceptable time I have heard You, And in the day of salvation I have helped You; I will preserve You and give You As a covenant to the people, To restore the earth, To cause them to inherit the desolate heritages; That You may say to the prisoners, 'Go forth,' To those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights. They shall neither hunger nor thirst, Neither heat nor sun shall strike them; For He who has mercy on them will lead them, Even by the springs of water He will guide them. I will make each of My mountains a road, And My highways shall be elevated.

Joshua 5:1-7

So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who were on the west side of the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that the Lord had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel. At that time the Lord said to Joshua, "Make flint knives for yourself, and circumcise the sons of Israel again the second time." So Joshua made flint knives for himself, and circumcised the sons of Israel at the hill of the foreskins. And this is the reason why Joshua circumcised them: All the people who came out of Egypt who were males, all the men of war, had died in the wilderness on the way, after they had come out of Egypt. For all the people who came out had been circumcised, but all the people born in the wilderness, on the way as they came out of Egypt, had not been circumcised. For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people who were men of war, who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they did not obey the voice of the Lord--to whom the Lord swore that He would not show them the land which the Lord had sworn to their fathers that He would give us, "a land flowing with milk and honey."

اُنْظُرُوا الآنَ! أَنَا أَنَا هُوَ وَلَيْسَ إِلهٌ مَعِي. أَنَا أُمِيتُ وَأُحْيِي. سَحَقْتُ، وَإِنِّي أَشْفِي، وَلَيْسَ مِنْ يَدِي مُخَلِّصٌ. إِنِّي أَرْفَعُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ يَدِي وَأَقُولُ: حَيٌّ أَنَا إِلَى الأَبَدِ. إِذَا سَنَنْتُ سَيْفِي الْبَارِقَ، وَأَمْسَكَتْ بِالْقَضَاءِ يَدِي، أَرُدُّ نَقْمَةً عَلَى أَضْدَادِي، وَأُجَازِي مُبْغِضِيَّ. أُسْكِرُ سِهَامِي بِدَمٍ، وَيَأْكُلُ سَيْفِي لَحْمًا. بِدَمِ الْقَتْلَى وَالسَّبَايَا، وَمِنْ رُؤُوسِ قُوَّادِ الْعَدُوِّ. «تَهَلَّلُوا أَيُّهَا الأُمَمُ، شَعْبُهُ، لأَنَّهُ يَنْتَقِمُ بِدَمِ عَبِيدِهِ، وَيَرُدُّ نَقْمَةً عَلَى أَضْدَادِهِ، وَيَصْفَحُ عَنْ أَرْضِهِ عَنْ شَعْبِهِ».

«قُومِي اسْتَنِيرِي لأَنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ نُورُكِ، وَمَجْدُ الرَّبِّ أَشْرَقَ عَلَيْكِ. لأَنَّهُ هَا هِيَ الظُّلْمَةُ تُغَطِّي الأَرْضَ وَالظَّلاَمُ الدَّامِسُ الأُمَمَ. أَمَّا عَلَيْكِ فَيُشْرِقُ الرَّبُّ، وَمَجْدُهُ عَلَيْكِ يُرَى. فَتَسِيرُ الأُمَمُ فِي نُورِكِ، وَالْمُلُوكُ فِي ضِيَاءِ إِشْرَاقِكِ. «اِرْفَعِي عَيْنَيْكِ حَوَالَيْكِ وَانْظُرِي. قَدِ اجْتَمَعُوا كُلُّهُمْ. جَاءُوا إِلَيْكِ. يَأْتِي بَنُوكِ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ وَتُحْمَلُ بَنَاتُكِ عَلَى الأَيْدِي. حِينَئِذٍ تَنْظُرِينَ وَتُنِيرِينَ وَيَخْفُقُ قَلْبُكِ وَيَتَّسِعُ، لأَنَّهُ تَتَحَوَّلُ إِلَيْكِ ثَرْوَةُ الْبَحْرِ، وَيَأْتِي إِلَيْكِ غِنَى الأُمَمِ. تُغَطِّيكِ كَثْرَةُ الْجِمَالِ، بُكْرَانُ مِدْيَانَ وَعِيفَةَ كُلُّهَا تَأْتِي مِنْ شَبَا. تَحْمِلُ ذَهَبًا وَلُبَانًا، وَتُبَشِّرُ بِتَسَابِيحِ الرَّبِّ. كُلُّ غَنَمِ قِيدَارَ تَجْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكِ. كِبَاشُ نَبَايُوتَ تَخْدِمُكِ. تَصْعَدُ مَقْبُولَةً عَلَى مَذْبَحِي، وَأُزَيِّنُ بَيْتَ جَمَالِي. مَنْ هؤُلاَءِ الطَّائِرُونَ كَسَحَابٍ وَكَالْحَمَامِ إِلَى بُيُوتِهَا؟

هكَذَا يَقُولُ اللهُ الرَّبُّ، خَالِقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَنَاشِرُهَا، بَاسِطُ الأَرْضِ وَنَتَائِجِهَا، مُعْطِي الشَّعْبِ عَلَيْهَا نَسَمَةً، وَالسَّاكِنِينَ فِيهَا رُوحًا: «أَنَا الرَّبَّ قَدْ دَعَوْتُكَ بِالْبِرِّ، فَأُمْسِكُ بِيَدِكَ وَأَحْفَظُكَ وَأَجْعَلُكَ عَهْدًا لِلشَّعْبِ وَنُورًا لِلأُمَمِ، لِتَفْتَحَ عُيُونَ الْعُمْيِ، لِتُخْرِجَ مِنَ الْحَبْسِ الْمَأْسُورِينَ، مِنْ بَيْتِ السِّجْنِ الْجَالِسِينَ فِي الظُّلْمَةِ. «أَنَا الرَّبُّ هذَا اسْمِي، وَمَجْدِي لاَ أُعْطِيهِ لآخَرَ، وَلاَ تَسْبِيحِي لِلْمَنْحُوتَاتِ. هُوَذَا الأَوَّلِيَّاتُ قَدْ أَتَتْ، وَالْحَدِيثَاتُ أَنَا مُخْبِرٌ بِهَا. قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْبُتَ أُعْلِمُكُمْ بِهَا». غَنُّوا لِلرَّبِّ أُغْنِيَةً جَدِيدَةً، تَسْبِيحَهُ مِنْ أَقْصَى الأَرْضِ. أَيُّهَا الْمُنْحَدِرُونَ فِي الْبَحْرِ وَمِلْؤُهُ وَالْجَزَائِرُ وَسُكَّانُهَا، لِتَرْفَعِ الْبَرِّيَّةُ وَمُدُنُهَا صَوْتَهَا، الدِّيَارُ الَّتِي سَكَنَهَا قِيدَارُ. لِتَتَرَنَّمْ سُكَّانُ سَالِعَ. مِنْ رُؤُوسِ الْجِبَالِ لِيَهْتِفُوا. لِيُعْطُوا الرَّبَّ مَجْدًا وَيُخْبِرُوا بِتَسْبِيحِهِ فِي الْجَزَائِرِ. الرَّبُّ كَالْجَبَّارِ يَخْرُجُ. كَرَجُلِ حُرُوبٍ يُنْهِضُ غَيْرَتَهُ. يَهْتِفُ وَيَصْرُخُ وَيَقْوَى عَلَى أَعْدَائِهِ. «قَدْ صَمَتُّ مُنْذُ الدَّهْرِ. سَكَتُّ. تَجَلَّدْتُ. كَالْوَالِدَةِ أَصِيحُ. أَنْفُخُ وَأَنَخُرُ مَعًا. أَخْرِبُ الْجِبَالَ وَالآكَامَ وَأُجَفِّفُ كُلَّ عُشْبِهَا، وَأَجْعَلُ الأَنْهَارَ يَبَسًا وَأُنَشِّفُ الآجَامَ، وَأُسَيِّرُ الْعُمْيَ فِي طَرِيق لَمْ يَعْرِفُوهَا. فِي مَسَالِكَ لَمْ يَدْرُوهَا أُمَشِّيهِمْ. أَجْعَلُ الظُّلْمَةَ أَمَامَهُمْ نُورًا، وَالْمُعْوَجَّاتِ مُسْتَقِيمَةً. هذِهِ الأُمُورُ أَفْعَلُهَا وَلاَ أَتْرُكُهُمْ. قَدِ ارْتَدُّوا إِلَى الْوَرَاءِ. يَخْزَى خِزْيًا الْمُتَّكِلُونَ عَلَى الْمَنْحُوتَاتِ، الْقَائِلُونَ لِلْمَسْبُوكَاتِ: أَنْتُنَّ آلِهَتُنَا!

اش 13:49-23

تَرَنَّمِي أَيَّتُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ، وَابْتَهِجِي أَيَّتُهَا الأَرْضُ. لِتُشِدِ الْجِبَالُ بِالتَّرَنُّمِ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ عَزَّى شَعْبَهُ، وَعَلَى بَائِسِيهِ يَتَرَحَّمُ. وَقَالَتْ صِهْيَوْنُ: «قَدْ تَرَكَنِي الرَّبُّ، وَسَيِّدِي نَسِيَنِي». «هَلْ تَنْسَى الْمَرْأَةُ رَضِيعَهَا فَلاَ تَرْحَمَ ابْنَ بَطْنِهَا؟ حَتَّى هؤُلاَءِ يَنْسَيْنَ، وَأَنَا لاَ أَنْسَاكِ. هُوَذَا عَلَى كَفَّيَّ نَقَشْتُكِ. أَسْوَارُكِ أَمَامِي دَائِمًا. قَدْ أَسْرَعَ بَنُوكِ. هَادِمُوكِ وَمُخْرِبُوكِ مِنْكِ يَخْرُجُونَ. اِرْفَعِي عَيْنَيْكِ حَوَالَيْكِ وَانْظُرِي. كُلُّهُمْ قَدِ اجْتَمَعُوا، أَتَوْا إِلَيْكِ. حَيٌّ أَنَا، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، إِنَّكِ تَلْبَسِينَ كُلَّهُمْ كَحُلِيٍّ، وَتَتَنَطَّقِينَ بِهِمْ كَعَرُوسٍ. إِنَّ خِرَبَكِ وَبَرَارِيَّكِ وَأَرْضَ خَرَابِكِ، إِنَّكِ تَكُونِينَ الآنَ ضَيِّقَةً عَلَى السُّكَّانِ، وَيَتَبَاعَدُ مُبْتَلِعُوكِ. يَقُولُ أَيْضًا فِي أُذُنَيْكِ بَنُو ثُكْلِكِ: ضَيِّقٌ عَلَيَّ الْمَكَانُ. وَسِّعِي لِي لأَسْكُنَ. فَتَقُولِينَ فِي قَلْبِكِ: مَنْ وَلَدَ لِي هؤُلاَءِ وَأَنَا ثَكْلَى، وَعَاقِرٌ مَنْفِيَّةٌ وَمَطْرُودَةٌ؟ وَهؤُلاَءِ مَنْ رَبَّاهُمْ؟ هأَنَذَا كُنْتُ مَتْرُوكَةً وَحْدِي. هؤُلاَءِ أَيْنَ كَانُوا؟». هكَذَا قَالَ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ: «هَا إِنِّي أَرْفَعُ إِلَى الأُمَمِ يَدِي وَإِلَى الشُّعُوبِ أُقِيمُ رَايَتِي، فَيَأْتُونَ بِأَوْلاَدِكِ فِي الأَحْضَانِ، وَبَنَاتُكِ عَلَى الأَكْتَافِ يُحْمَلْنَ. وَيَكُونُ الْمُلُوكُ حَاضِنِيكِ وَسَيِّدَاتُهُمْ مُرْضِعَاتِكِ. بِالْوُجُوهِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ يَسْجُدُونَ لَكِ، وَيَلْحَسُونَ غُبَارَ رِجْلَيْكِ، فَتَعْلَمِينَ أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ الَّذِي لاَ يَخْزَى مُنْتَظِرُوهُ».

ار 23:31-28

هكَذَا قَالَ رَبُّ الْجُنُودِ إِلهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ: سَيَقُولُونَ بَعْدُ هذِهِ الْكَلِمَةَ فِي أَرْضِ يَهُوذَا وَفِي مُدُنِهَا، عِنْدَمَا أَرُدُّ سَبْيَهُمْ: يُبَارِكُكَ الرَّبُّ يَا مَسْكِنَ الْبِرِّ، يَا أَيُّهَا الْجَبَلُ الْمُقَدَّسُ. فَيَسْكُنُ فِيهِ يَهُوذَا وَكُلُّ مُدُنِهِ مَعًا، الْفَلاَّحُونَ وَالَّذِينَ يُسَرِّحُونَ الْقُطْعَانَ. لأَنِّي أَرْوَيْتُ النَّفْسَ الْمُعْيِيَةَ، وَمَلأْتُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِبَةٍ. عَلَى ذلِكَ اسْتَيْقَظْتُ وَنَظَرْتُ وَلَذَّ لِي نَوْمِي. « هَا أَيَّامٌ تَأْتِي، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، وَأَزْرَعُ بَيْتَ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَبَيْتَ يَهُوذَا بِزَرْعِ إِنْسَانٍ وَزَرْعِ حَيَوَانٍ. وَيَكُونُ كَمَا سَهِرْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ لِلاقْتِلاَعِ وَالْهَدْمِ وَالْقَرْضِ وَالإِهْلاَكِ وَالأَذَى، كَذلِكَ أَسْهَرُ عَلَيْهِمْ لِلْبِنَاءِ وَالْغَرْسِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ.

يَا رَبُّ، قَدْ سَمِعْتُ خَبَرَكَ فَجَزِعْتُ. يَا رَبُّ، عَمَلَكَ فِي وَسَطِ السِّنِينَ أَحْيِهِ. فِي وَسَطِ السِّنِينَ عَرِّفْ. فِي الْغَضَبِ اذْكُرِ الرَّحْمَةَ. اَللهُ جَاءَ مِنْ تِيمَانَ، وَالْقُدُّوسُ مِنْ جَبَلِ فَارَانَ. سِلاَهْ. جَلاَلُهُ غَطَّى السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَالأَرْضُ امْتَلأَتْ مِنْ تَسْبِيحِهِ. وَكَانَ لَمَعَانٌ كَالنُّورِ. لَهُ مِنْ يَدِهِ شُعَاعٌ، وَهُنَاكَ اسْتِتَارُ قُدْرَتِهِ. قُدَّامَهُ ذَهَبَ الْوَبَأُ، وَعِنْدَ رِجْلَيْهِ خَرَجَتِ الْحُمَّى. وَقَفَ وَقَاسَ الأَرْضَ. نَظَرَ فَرَجَفَ الأُمَمُ وَدُكَّتِ الْجِبَالُ الدَّهْرِيَّةُ وَخَسَفَتْ آكَامُ الْقِدَمِ. مَسَالِكُ الأَزَلِ لَهُ. رَأَيْتُ خِيَامَ كُوشَانَ تَحْتَ بَلِيَّةٍ. رَجَفَتْ شُقَقُ أَرْضِ مِدْيَانَ. هَلْ عَلَى الأَنْهَارِ حَمِيَ يَا رَبُّ؟ هَلْ عَلَى الأَنْهَارِ غَضَبُكَ؟ أَوْ عَلَى الْبَحْرِ سَخَطُكَ حَتَّى إِنَّكَ رَكِبْتَ خَيْلَكَ، مَرْكَبَاتِكَ مَرْكَبَاتِ الْخَلاَصِ؟ عُرِّيَتْ قَوْسُكَ تَعْرِيَةً. سُبَاعِيَّاتُ سِهَامٍ كَلِمَتُكَ. سِلاَهْ. شَقَّقْتَ الأَرْضَ أَنْهَارًا. أَبْصَرَتْكَ فَفَزِعَتِ الْجِبَالُ. سَيْلُ الْمِيَاهِ طَمَا. أَعْطَتِ اللُّجَّةُ صَوْتَهَا. رَفَعَتْ يَدَيْهَا إِلَى الْعَلاَءِ. اَلشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ وَقَفَا فِي بُرُوجِهِمَا لِنُورِ سِهَامِكَ الطَّائِرَةِ، لِلَمَعَانِ بَرْقِ مَجْدِكَ. بِغَضَبٍ خَطَرْتَ فِي الأَرْضِ، بِسَخَطٍ دُسْتَ الأُمَمَ. خَرَجْتَ لِخَلاَصِ شَعْبِكَ، لِخَلاَصِ مَسِيحِكَ. سَحَقْتَ رَأْسَ بَيْتِ الشِّرِّيرِ مُعَرِّيًا الأَسَاسَ حَتَّى الْعُنُقِ. سِلاَهْ. ثَقَبْتَ بِسِهَامِهِ رَأْسَ قَبَائِلِهِ. عَصَفُوا لِتَشْتِيتِي. ابْتِهَاجُهُمْ كَمَا لأَكْلِ الْمِسْكِينِ فِي الْخُفْيَةِ. سَلَكْتَ الْبَحْرَ بِخَيْلِكَ، كُوَمَ الْمِيَاهِ الْكَثِيرَةِ. سَمِعْتُ فَارْتَعَدَتْ أَحْشَائِي. مِنَ الصَّوْتِ رَجَفَتْ شَفَتَايَ. دَخَلَ النَّخْرُ فِي عِظَامِي، وَارْتَعَدْتُ فِي مَكَانِي لأَسْتَرِيحَ فِي يَوْمِ الضِّيقِ، عِنْدَ صُعُودِ الشَّعْبِ الَّذِي يَزْحَمُنَا. فَمَعَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُزْهِرُ التِّينُ، وَلاَ يَكُونُ حَمْلٌ فِي الْكُرُومِ. يَكْذِبُ عَمَلُ الزَّيْتُونَةِ، وَالْحُقُولُ لاَ تَصْنَعُ طَعَامًا. يَنْقَطِعُ الْغَنَمُ مِنَ الْحَظِيرَةِ، وَلاَ بَقَرَ فِي الْمَذَاوِدِ، فَإِنِّي أَبْتَهِجُ بِالرَّبِّ وَأَفْرَحُ بِإِلهِ خَلاَصِي. اَلرَّبُّ السَّيِّدُ قُوَّتِي، وَيَجْعَلُ قَدَمَيَّ كَالأَيَائِلِ، وَيُمَشِّينِي عَلَى مُرْتَفَعَاتِي.

زك 10:2-الخ

«تَرَنَّمِي وَافْرَحِي يَا بِنْتَ صِهْيَوْنَ، لأَنِّي هأَنَذَا آتِي وَأَسْكُنُ فِي وَسَطِكِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ. فَيَتَّصِلُ أُمَمٌ كَثِيرَةٌ بِالرَّبِّ فِي ذلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، وَيَكُونُونَ لِي شَعْبًا فَأَسْكُنُ فِي وَسَطِكِ، فَتَعْلَمِينَ أَنَّ رَبَّ الْجُنُودِ قَدْ أَرْسَلَنِي إِلَيْكِ. وَالرَّبُّ يَرِثُ يَهُوذَا نَصِيبَهُ فِي الأَرْضِ الْمُقَدَّسَةِ وَيَخْتَارُ أُورُشَلِيمَ بَعْدُ. اُسْكُتُوا يَا كُلَّ الْبَشَرِ قُدَّامَ الرَّبِّ، لأَنَّهُ قَدِ اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنْ مَسْكَنِ قُدْسِهِ».

اش 6:49-11

فَقَالَ: «قَلِيلٌ أَنْ تَكُونَ لِي عَبْدًا لإِقَامَةِ أَسْبَاطِ يَعْقُوبَ، وَرَدِّ مَحْفُوظِي إِسْرَائِيلَ. فَقَدْ جَعَلْتُكَ نُورًا لِلأُمَمِ لِتَكُونَ خَلاَصِي إِلَى أَقْصَى الأَرْضِ». هكَذَا قَالَ الرَّبُّ فَادِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، قُدُّوسُهُ، لِلْمُهَانِ النَّفْسِ، لِمَكْرُوهِ الأُمَّةِ، لِعَبْدِ الْمُتَسَلِّطِينَ: «يَنْظُرُ مُلُوكٌ فَيَقُومُونَ. رُؤَسَاءُ فَيَسْجُدُونَ. لأَجْلِ الرَّبِّ الَّذِي هُوَ أَمِينٌ، وَقُدُّوسِ إِسْرَائِيلَ الَّذِي قَدِ اخْتَارَكَ». هكَذَا قَالَ الرَّبُّ: «فِي وَقْتِ الْقُبُولِ اسْتَجَبْتُكَ، وَفِي يَوْمِ الْخَلاَصِ أَعَنْتُكَ. فَأَحْفَظُكَ وَأَجْعَلُكَ عَهْدًا لِلشَّعْبِ، لإِقَامَةِ الأَرْضِ، لِتَمْلِيكِ أَمْلاَكِ الْبَرَارِيِّ، قَائِلاً لِلأَسْرَى: اخْرُجُوا. لِلَّذِينَ فِي الظَّلاَمِ: اظْهَرُوا. عَلَى الطُّرُقِ يَرْعَوْنَ وَفِي كُلِّ الْهِضَابِ مَرْعَاهُمْ. لاَ يَجُوعُونَ وَلاَ يَعْطَشُونَ، وَلاَ يَضْرِبُهُمْ حَرٌّ وَلاَ شَمْسٌ، لأَنَّ الَّذِي يَرْحَمُهُمْ يَهْدِيهِمْ وَإِلَى يَنَابِيعِ الْمِيَاهِ يُورِدُهُمْ. وَأَجْعَلُ كُلَّ جِبَالِي طَرِيقًا، وَمَنَاهِجِي تَرْتَفِعُ.

يش بن سراخ 1:5-7

وَعِنْدَمَا سَمِعَ جَمِيعُ مُلُوكِ الأَمُورِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ فِي عَبْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ غَرْبًا، وَجَمِيعُ مُلُوكِ الْكَنْعَانِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ عَلَى الْبَحْرِ، أَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ يَبَّسَ مِيَاهَ الأُرْدُنِّ مِنْ أَمَامِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ حَتَّى عَبَرْنَا، ذَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَلَمْ تَبْقَ فِيهِمْ رُوحٌ بَعْدُ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ. فِي ذلِكَ الْوَقْتِ قَالَ الرَّبُّ لِيَشُوعَ: «اصْنَعْ لِنَفْسِكَ سَكَاكِينَ مِنْ صَوَّانٍ، وَعُدْ فَاخْتُنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ثَانِيَةً». فَصَنَعَ يَشُوعُ سَكَاكِينَ مِنْ صَوَّانٍ وَخَتَنَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي تَلِّ الْقُلَفِ. وَهذَا هُوَ سَبَبُ خَتْنِ يَشُوعَ إِيَّاهُمْ: أَنَّ جَمِيعَ الشَّعْبِ الْخَارِجِينَ مِنْ مِصْرَ، الذُّكُوِرَ، جَمِيعَ رِجَالِ الْحَرْبِ، مَاتُوا فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ بِخُرُوجِهِمْ مِنْ مِصْرَ. لأَنَّ جَمِيعَ الشَّعْبِ الَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا كَانُوا مَخْتُونِينَ، وَأَمَّا جَمِيعُ الشَّعْبِ الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا فِي الْقَفْرِ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ بِخُرُوجِهِمْ مِنْ مِصْرَ فَلَمْ يُخْتَنُوا. لأَنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ سَارُوا أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً فِي الْقَفْرِ حَتَّى فَنِيَ جَمِيعُ الشَّعْبِ، رِجَالُ الْحَرْبِ الْخَارِجِينَ مِنْ مِصْرَ، الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْمَعُوا لِقَوْلِ الرَّبِّ، الَّذِينَ حَلَفَ الرَّبُّ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُرِيهِمِ الأَرْضَ الَّتِي حَلَفَ الرَّبُّ لآبَائِهِمْ أَنْ يُعْطِيَنَا إِيَّاهَا، الأَرْضَ الَّتِي تَفِيضُ لَبَنًا وَعَسَلاً. وَأَمَّا بَنُوهُمْ فَأَقَامَهُمْ مَكَانَهُمْ. فَإِيَّاهُمْ خَتَنَ يَشُوعُ لأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قُلْفًا، إِذْ لَمْ يَخْتِنُوهُمْ فِي الطَّرِيقِ.
