Order of Sagda

  • The First Sagda
    (Prayed in the festive tune)

    1. Praises:

      • Ni-ethnos teroo (Psalm 116).

      • Fourth Hoos.

      • Special Psali Adam for Sagda.

      • The Sunday Psali (Aikoti, I sought after You).

      • Lee-bon.

      • The Full Sunday Theotokeia.

      • Conclusion of Theotokeias.

    2. The Priest starts normaly and prays the Thanksgiving Prayer.

    3. The Verses of the Cymbals. (Pantecost rite-festive)

    4. Psalm 50 (51).

    5. The Prophecy (Deut. 5: 23-33, 6: 1-3).

    6. Tenoo-osht and than the Pauline Epistle (I Cor. 12:28-31, 13:1-12).

    7. The Trisagion, the Litany of the Gospel and the Gospel are prayed.

    8. Adam Exposition is said and than the Gospel response.

    9. The litanies of the Sick, the Travelers, the Waters; Plants; Fruits, and the Place are prayed.

    10. Than the people bow down and the Priest prayes the litany.

    8. The Litanies of the Leader (King), the Departed, the Oblations, and the Catechumens are prayed.

    9. Than the people bow down and the Priest prayes the litany.

    2. The Verses of the Cymbals. (Watos)

    3. Psalm 50 (51).

    4. The Prophecy (Deut. 16 : 1-18).

    5. Tenoo-osht and than the Pauline Epistle (I Cor. 14:18-40 ).

    6. The Hymn of the Holy Spirit is chanted (Pi-epnevma).

    7. The Trisagion, the Litany of the Gospel and the Gospel are prayed.

    8. Watos Exposition is said and than the Gospel response.

    9. The Litanies of the Peace, the Fathers, and of those who asked us are prayed.

    10. Graciously O Lord and the Trisagion are said.

    11. The intro to the doxologies and the doxologies are chanted.

    12. Than the intro to the Creed, the Creed, and Efnouti nai nan are said.

    13. Than the people bow down and the Priest prayes the litany.

    14. "Our Father..." than the three absolutions are prayed.
