The real question is why does it matter if he was or wasn't black? Jesus is perfectly human and perfectly God. Any minor physical details distracts us from the beauty of His love, His humility, His power, and His salvation. In this lent period, let us search for Him spiritually.

He is asking about his ethnicity and the answer is no. He was a middle eastern Hebrew and he was a Jew. Color wise he was "tan".
