I'm a freshman in college and was wondering where I should pray?
Idk where to pray since I now have a roommate. Do i pray with her in the room or what?

Personal Issues / Calling my FOC

Hello everyone!
I have a problem, I haven't confessed in a while and was supposed to last week but there was a unexpected funeral at Church so I couldn't talk to Abouna then.
But, I really don't like calling my FOC because I feel guilty, like I'm invading on their privacy. Since he has like six kids and also works. The problem is I feel like this too much which delays me to have confession. What do I do???

Personal Issues / Looking nice

Is it bad to want to look nice or dress up?
Recently, I have been thinking about going to prom. Before i had always taught of it as vanity
but as i get near to it, i feel like it could be fun if i just go to dress up and be with friends and leave immediately.
I also wouldnt have to pay because im on the newspaper and they need photographers to go.
I feel like if i go it will prove to me why i love God so much and would rather go to Church then parties.
any opinions , advice...

Personal Issues / do i just lie...

Selam everyone,
I have an appointment on Saturday to take the driving test in order to get my drivers license, but only one problem in order to get it you have to have drove 50 hours, (40 daytime n 10 night)!
I only drive in the day time and can only remember like 2-3 times where i have drove at night.
People are telling in me to just lie and write on the driving log that i have done all my hours but i don't want to do that.
My mom doesn't want me to waste her gas either.
Help please!!!!

How can i know myself more? I read a quote from St. Augustine,
"How can you draw close to God when you are far from your own self? Grant, Lord, that I may know myself, that I may know Thee.”
I feel like this is something i really need to do, any advice?

Personal Issues / How to read the Holy Bible

Selam everyone,
I was wondering how i should read the Holy Bible on a regular basis? I pretty much just read the Holy Bible every mourning and night but its baically randomly chosen. Should i be reading a book at a time, i don't know what i need to be focusing on. I also try to read the Quiet time before i go to sleep.
Any tips/advice???

Is writing down that you teach Sunday school at Church for scholarships bad, for community service hours?
Since i do teach the younger kids in Sunday school class.
I know a lot of people who have done so and am debating if i should do it know since i am applying for scholarships.

Personal Issues / How do i deal with classmates?

Hello everyone,
I have this one class in my school that lasts for three hours and during those three hours, i find myself getting so fustrated and annoyed with what goes on in there.
Most of the students in that class do not listen to what the teacher says and basically do what they what like curse out loud(say the Lords name in vain), play their music, and walk around the classroom.
This makes me so annoyed because i dont feel like i can focus on my work because of the noise level and immaturity that takes place in there. If you were to go in that classroom you would most likely find me isolated with a fustrated look on my face. I'm not a very extroverted person.
I want to have a positive Christian impact on the people i meet, but i feel like they think i feel like im better then them or stuck up or too extreme. How can i be a light in such a situation where i feel so annoyed, when the people around me are talking about drugs and sex in most of their conversations, and say things about God? I really dont look forward to that class, and feel like that class brings down my day and it effects me mentally.

The question is this: Why is Judas considered such a villain. If Christ did indeed have to be sacrificed, if this was his destiny as ordained directly by God the Father, then didn't Judas simply help fulfill this destiny? I understand he sold out Jesus to the Romans, but it always seemed to me to be part and parcel of the bigger picture in which the crucifixion was Jesus' inevitable fate, in which case Judas may have been a pawn and a weak man, but in fact he was doing God's work in delivering Jesus to the Romans. By the logic that dictates this fate was inevitable, if Judas hadn’t betrayed Jesus, someone else would have had to carry out the task in some other way that ultimately led to the crucifixion.

I have been fasting Wensdays and Fridays for a while now, and don't feel like i have been faithfully fasting. LIke i have been fasting only SINCE its Wensday and Friday, its kinda lost its spirtuality.
How can i be truly faithful to this fasting, so i can grow in my relationship with God?
Any tips or ideas?
I need help!

There is this one Jehovah witness person in my class and he was telling me that they believe that when you die your soul dies too. According to somewhere in Ezekiel, i think Ezekiel 18:20-20
"The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself."
I know that is completely false because there is immorality of the soul. But i didn't really know how to answer him? And also do we believe that the soul and spirit of a person is the same thing?
Please help me and provide Holy Bible verses!

Personal Issues / My thoughts

Hello
I don't know how to control my thoughts, I have been having bad thoughts for like two years like about anything. I try to pray and do metanyas when they come but they always seem to be there. How should i fight them, i hate them and dont want them in my mind.
Please pray for me and explain to me how to fight them!
