One day, when I was a freshman in high school,

>>>I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the

>>>He had planned to kill himself over the weekend.
>>>He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have
>>>to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.
>>>He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.
>>>"Thankfully, I was saved.
>>>My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."
>>>I heard the gasp go
through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told

>>>I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.

>>>As you can see, I took choice number 1.

    [glow=red,2,300]Forgive Me When I Whine [/glow]

    Today, upon a bus,
I saw a girl with golden hair.
and wished I was as fair.

When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 legs, the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.

And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 eyes, the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play.
He did not know what to do.

I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
And then I knew, he couldn't hear.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

    ....wish you like it too!
  • ahh...that was nice too...but where do you get that cool stuff from?i would be interested in reading some!!
  • they're not on a web site

  • ah....i got it but let your brother keep going!!it is awsome!!
  • hey hey i've got a really nice story:

    [glow=red,2,300]John 3:16[/glow]

In the city of Chicago, one cold, dark night, a blizzard was setting in. A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers.

He walked up to a policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and it's awful cold in there for tonight. Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay."

The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "You go down the street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they come out the door you just say John 3:16, and they will let you in."

So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a lady answered. He looked up and said, "John 3:16." The lady said, "Come on in, Son." She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went off. The boy sat there for a while and thought to himself: John 3:16.... I don't understand it, but it sure makes a cold boy warm.

Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry?" He said, "Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I guess I could stand a little bit of food." The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn't eat any more. Then he thought to himself: John 3:16... Boy, I sure don't understand it but it sure makes a hungry boy full.

She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm water, and he sat there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he thought to himself: John 3:16... I sure don't understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy clean. You know, I've not had a bath, a real bath, in my whole life. The only bath I ever had was when I stood in front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out.

The lady came in and got him. She took him to a room, tucked him into a big old feather bed, pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned out the lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked out the window at the snow coming down on that cold night, he thought to himself: John 3:16... I don't understand it but it sure makes a tired boy rested.

The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to that same big table full of food. After he ate, she took him back to that same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked up a big old Bible. She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face.

"Do you understand John 3:16?" she asked gently.

He replied, "No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the policeman told me to use it." She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain to him about Jesus. Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave his heart and life to Jesus. He sat there and thought: John 3:16. .. .. I don't understand it, but it sure makes a lost boy feel safe.

You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either, how God was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how Jesus would agree to do such a thing. I don't understand the agony of the Father and every angel in heaven as they watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't understand the intense love for ME that kept Jesus on the cross till the end. I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth living.

    John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions. Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father." Pass this on only if you mean it. I do Love God. He is my source of existence. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Phil 4:13

If you love God and are not ashamed of all the marvelous things he has done for you, send this on.

Take 60 seconds & give this a shot! Let's just see if Satan stops this one.

    All you do is --
    1) Simply say a small prayer for the person who sent you this (Father, God bless this person in whatever it is that You know he or she may be needing this day!).

    2) Then send it on to five other people. Within hours five people have prayed for you, and you caused a multitude of people to pray to God for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life for doing the thing that you know He loves.

Remember to smile often at those that you love!
    [glow=red,2,300]Have a super day![/glow]

    I wish you peace
    in your journey through life.

    I wish you joy
    in your quest to become

    I wish you courage
    to face the difficulties

  • [center]No Thanks [/center]

The rain was falling and the water level was rising. As the water level rose higher and higher, forcing the man onto the roof of his house, along came a rowboat with an offer to take him to safer ground. "No, thanks." the man replied. "The Lord will provide."

As the water got higher, alone came someone in a motorboat with another offer to take the man to safer ground. "No thanks, the Lord will supply."

Standing on the very top of his chimney with a helicopter hovering overhead offering to take him to safer ground, he yelled out, "Thanks, but no thanks. The Lord will provide." The rapidly rising water finally swept the man off the top of his house, taking him downstream toward destruction.

While being swept alone in the rapids, he cried out, "Lord, why didn't you help me? You know I was trusting in You." He heard a voice say, "I sent you a rowboat, a motorboat, and a helicopter. What more did you want me to do?"

Isn't this just like most of us? God sends the help we are praying for, but all too often we refuse to recognize the help He sends. When things over our heads and we are out of control, we blame Him for ignoring us.

  • great ;)

  • [glow=red,2,300]57 cents[/glow]
A sobbing little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it "was too crowded."

"I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by. Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class.

The child was so touched that she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus. Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings and the parents called for the kind-hearted pastor, who had befriended their daughter, to handle the final arrangements.

As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump. Inside was found 57 cents and a note scribbled in childish handwriting which read, "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday School." For two years she had saved for this offering of love. When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do.

Carrying this note and the cracked pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion. He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building. But the story does not end there!

A newspaper learned of the story and published it. It was read by a Realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands. When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered it for 57 cents. Church members made large donations. Checks came from far and wide. Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00 -- a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividend.

When you are in the city of Philadelphia, look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300 and Temple University, where hundreds of students are trained. Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of Sunday Schoolers, so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday school time.

In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, author of the book, "Acres of Diamonds" A true story, which goes to show what God can do with 57 cents.

dunno y but it made me cry :'( :'(

  • [center][glow=red,2,300]Priceless Gift[/glow]

    Friendship is a Priceless Gift
that can not be bought or sold,
but its value is far greater
than a mountain made of Gold.

For gold is cold and lifeless,
it can neither see nor hear
And in the time of trouble
it is powerless to cheer ..
it has no ears to listen
    Nor heart to understand,

    It cannot bring you comfort
or reach out a helping hand.
So when you ask God for a gift
    be thankful if He sends
    not diamonds, pearls or riches

But The Love of Real True Friends.

  • awsome!!!
