Does anyone know the Coptic Orthodox view of the ending of the gospel of Mark?

It's the same as all others...it ends at AMEN. That is what's handed down though the Church's readings, specifically the Holy Fifties.
  • Yeah, I've heard protestants dispute the traditional ending, like what we find in nkjv, as something added later
  • To be specific, Mark 16:9-20 is what is contested
  • in NIV they have this clause before verse 9:
"The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20"

Yes, but that is the same for many other verses in the NT too. But that is not good enough for the Church to just ignore what she had always included in the Tradition of the Bible. The Bible is not defined by scholars, but it's defined by and is found within the Church.
  • Thank you Mina. Pray for me.
