Baptism of Desire

edited December 1969 in Coptic Orthodox Church
The baptism of desire doctrine is a Roman Catholic Dogma which states that catachumens who die, having not reached baptism, but having wanted to be baptized, can be saved. It is similar to the concept of "baptism of blood."

I recently read that this dogma is accepted by the Eastern Orthodox Church. Not sure if thats true.

Has anyone heard the Coptic Church's view?
