  • Read The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel, as well as The Case for a Creator. They answer your questions.
  • i was convinced that this is just a mystery, not evidence in God. we might just not have enough evidence to prove it as of now

    DimyanCoptic,
The references by GMA are good, though links would help. Let me say that no one can have a true free will and be able to have the elaborate logical thinking we enjoy at the same time without a spiritual component as part of her/his nature. Intelligent thinking is an abstract non material 'structure'. So these characteristics are not only based on chemicals or chemical algorithmic reactions occurring in the brain, don't let naive deceivers impress you.

I mean think about it: these unique capabilities we have cannot be explained by chemistry alone and prove beyond doubt that we must have a spirit. If we do then where does it come from? How did it come to exist? How does it have life? How is it generated or put inside newborn individuals?

The spirit will always remain a mystery, the physical is the only thing we can study. We can only learn about the spiritual things from God Himself, that is one of the many great advantages of believing in God: He reveals these things (He made all things) and He does not lie to us.

The spirit is not a physical thing and is totally beyond the realm of science. Physically, life cannot start and sustain itself on its own whether it's a lucky soup or even if given trillions of years to reach that goal. Do you really think that nature is so intelligent (or so lucky in its chaotic interactions) that on its own it's capable to build the immense diversity of advanced engineering and arrangements we have discovered, and have yet to discover?

I don't know what are your studies but just see the idea here:

Genetic information = coded optimized instructions = written by higher intelligence
Awesome diversity = ultimate or highest possible intelligence = God is Omniscient

Highest intelligence that cannot be seen = God is Spirit

Reproduction = living creatures sustained = God is Omnipresent

Laws of physics and chemistry = God is Omnipotent
    etc.

Few more details in biology, by studying living organisms:

watch at 2:00 the 'walking' living transport mechanism and its rail in slow motion

These samples above are actually nothing compared to the immensity of God's knowledge and the proven reality of His impressive creation power.

  • Really helpful links. Thanks a bunch. :)
  • Ive struggled with the same thing and the more i dig into the physical facts the more I'm impressed by the complexity of life from our emotions and logic to the intermolecular interactions of a cell.

Instead of these facts leading me to disregard a creator, it actually gives me no choice but to believe in a creator.

The perfection, the elegance, the pure intelligence put in each individual living thing is astonishing.

    A creator exists...
